DAY 1 – NAIROBI / AMBOSELI

Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be met by your driver/guide and set off on Safari with the drive south to Amboseli National Park. Situated at the foothills of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro — the highest mountain in Africa — this Park is know for it large herds of elephant. After lunch at your camp enjoy a game viewing drive in the Park.

DAY 2 – AMBOSELI

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of the wildlife where there are excellent photo ops with the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. The park offers a wide variety of wildlife but the principal attraction is its vast herds of elephant within the park. The bull elephants here have some of the largest tusks in Kenya. Other game includes: zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, leopard, caracal and serval cat. The park also has a rich bird life such as ibis, egret, avocet, common and saddle-billed stork, secretary bird, heron, vultures, ducks, and geese.

DAY 3 – NAIVASHA

After an early breakfast, drive out of the Park and head towards Nairobi, continuing on through ever changing countryside, passing tea and coffee plantations to arrive at you lodge situated on the shores of the peaceful Lake Naivasha. After lunch at your lodge the rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the lodge grounds or you may take an optional boat trip on the lake (at an additional cost). This area is famous for its prolific birdlife — a breeding ground for pelicans, fish eagles and more. You will also find other animals such as hippos, zebras, antelopes and colobus monkeys.

DAY 4 –MASAI MARA

After breakfast traverse the Rift Valley and ascend its western rim into the Masai land. Red-clad, with spear Masai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife. The Masai giraffe are to be found in this park and on your afternoon game drive you can search for them and the other many species of wildlife that make this beautiful area their home. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is also famous for the wildebeest and zebra migration.

DAY 5 – MASAI MARA

Morning and afternoon game drives offer superb photographic opportunities in this spectacular game reserve. Due to its permanent water supply, the Masai Mara has a year-round resident population of plains game. The “big five” — elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino are quite common. OPTIONAL EXTRA: an early morning balloon excursion to experience the Mara from panoramic a birds-eye view, with a champagne breakfast prepared on landing (not included in price).

DAY 6 – NAIROBI

After breakfast at your camp drive back to Nairobi and the airport for your onward flight.
