DAY 1: SUNDAY – JOHANNESBURG
On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, after clearing customs and immigration, you will be met and assisted from the Airport Terminal Building to the shuttle transfer service to your overnight hotel. You are at leisure until 19h00 when you gather at the hotel reception for a briefing on the tour and a chance to meet up with your fellow travellers.

DAY 2: MONDAY – HAZYVIEW
This morning you depart at 07h00 for Mpumalanga, descending several hundred feet into the lush subtropical region of the Lowveld. Travel along the circular Panorama Route via Graskop, visiting lookout point at the Blyde River Canyon, one of the natural wonders of Africa; God’s Window, with a boundless view of mountains and fertile plains and finally Bourke’s Luck Potholes before heading to your accommodation in Hazyview.

DAY 3: TUESDAY – KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
A bright and early start to the day departing at 05h00, taking a packed breakfast, in order to enjoy the wonders of exploring the Kruger National Park in your closed vehicle. Spend the morning in the Kruger National Park – an internationally renowned game reserve of nearly 2 million hectares that supports a large variety of wildlife species. Keep a sharp lookout and hope to spot the Big Five before returning to your hotel around midday. The rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 4: WEDNESDAY – HAZYVIEW / SWAZILAND
This morning after breakfast, depart at 07h00 for your journey to Swaziland. Proceed south through to Malalane and then onto Swaziland. In the afternoon you will visit a Chief’s village and have the fantastic opportunity to learn about of traditional Swazi culture.

DAY 5: THURSDAY – ZULULAND
This morning you journey through Swaziland into Zululand stopping en route to bargain for curios and souvenirs at the roadside markets. Your journey continues into the Kingdom of KwaZulu-Natal where ancient traditions and modern cultures of both Zulu and Settler have combined into a vibrant society living in peace and harmony. In the afternoon arrive into the Umfolozi region for over your overnight stay.

DAY 6: FRIDAY – ZULULAND / DURBAN
You may have a relaxing morning or take an optional morning boat cruise (own account) before heading off later in the morning towards Durban. An orientation tour introduces you to this multicultural, vibrant seaside city before arriving at your hotel late afternoon. Durban’s golden mile buzzes with energy as surfers, joggers and cyclists take to this seaside playground.

DAY 7: SATURDAY – DURBAN / DRAKENSBERG
After breakfast head out into the majestic Southern Drakensberg Mountains, travelling through wonderful countryside to visit to the 300 feet Howick Falls. Continue on the Southern Midlands Meander Route, arriving at your hotel mid afternoon. The rest of the day is at leisure to soak up the surroundings, or enjoy optional activities such as fishing, hiking and even horse riding in clean mountain air.

DAY 8: SUNDAY – DRAKENSBERG
Today is a full day at leisure to enjoy the surroundings of the magnificent Southern Drakensberg Mountains and the amenities of the hotel.
The 4×4 Adventure Tour up the Sani Pass and into Lesotho is available as an Option – NB: Passport & warm jacket required.

DAY 9: MONDAY – EASTERN CAPE COAST
After an early breakfast depart for the drive south to the Eastern Cape, entering the fourth of the South African provinces and the birthplace of Nelson Mandela. En route you see the old traditional way of life in the homeland area known as the Transkei. A stop for lunch (own account) outside the capital of Umtata. Continue on via Nelson Mandela’s birthplace and house. Arrive in the late afternoon at your overnight accommodation in Chinsta East, on the beautiful, unspoilt Eastern Cape Coast fro dinner and overnight.

DAY 10: TUESDAY – PORT ELIZABETH
A leisurely breakfast and some free time to enjoy the beach that stretches for many kms bordered by thick indigenous beach forest – a haven to a wide variety of birdlife. Then depart for Port Elizabeth arriving in the mid afternoon. The rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 11: WEDNESDAY – KNYSNA
Today your journey takes you along the Garden Route. A stop in the Tsitsikamma Forest provides scenic walking opportunities – the short walk to the Storms River Mouth offers some magnificent views of the gorge and river below. Arrive in Knysna in the late afternoon with time to independently explore this vibrant town.

DAY 12: THURSDAY – OUDTSHOORN / MOSSEL BAY
After breakfast travel inland over the spectacular Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn, known as the ‘feather capital of the world’ because of its ostrich industry. Visit a working ostrich farm then explore the famous Cango Caves with their magnificent dripstone formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Drive to the coast al town of Mossel Bay for overnight.

DAY 13: FRIDAY – CAPE TOWN
Your day starts with a visit to the famous Post Office Tree, the Bartholomeus Diaz Museum and Shell Museum. Then a scenic drive takes you through Swellendam and Worcester before arriving in Cape Town in the late afternoon. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 14: SATURDAY – CAPE TOWN
Enjoy a day of leisure in the ‘Mother City’. There is a wide variety of activities and excursions available which may be pre-booked such full day Winelands or Peninsula tour. A visit to the vibrant V&A Waterfront is a must.

DAY 15: SUNDAY – CAPE TOWN / DEPART
This morning after breakfast, check out of the hotel by 11h00. The remainder of the day will free for independent activities until you make your own transfer to Cape Town International airport.
