Drive to Samburu to stay for 2 nights followed by Sweetwaters famous for its Chimpanzee sanctuary. Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its great flocks of lesser and greater flamingos and rhino sanctuary and finally to the Masai Mara where wildlife is in great abundance all year round.
DAY 1 – SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport – Nairobi, you will be met and briefed on your safari. Commence your safari with the drive to Kenya’s rugged north-eastern region, arriving at your lodge around mid-day. Enjoy an afternoon game drive to see the wildlife that inhabit this arid land, some of which are not found elsewhere such as Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe.

DAY 2 – SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives to explore this interesting wilderness.

DAY 3 – SWEETWATERS GAME SANCTUARY
After breakfast a morning drive takes you to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary, where the afternoon game drive will give you an opportunity to visit the chimpanzee sanctuary. Your accommodation overlooks the waterhole where animals come to drink.

DAY 4 – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Drive via Nyahururu Falls down the eastern escarpment of the magnificent Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park best known for its flamingos. It is a home to many animals including waterbuck, leopards and Rothschild giraffe. The park is also a sanctuary for black rhinos. Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive.

DAY 5 – MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
After breakfast traverse the Rift Valley and ascend its western rim into the Masai land. Red clad, with spear Masai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators. Another species of giraffe, the Masai giraffe can be found here. Enjoy an afternoon game drive to view the abundant and varied wildlife that makes a home here. The Masai Mara is known for the annual wildebeest and zebra migration when large numbers of these animals wander vast areas in search of food.

DAY 6 – MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Morning and afternoon game drives in this spectacular game reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities. Due to a permanent water supply, the Masai Mara has a permanent population of plains game. The “big five” – elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino are often seen. OPTIONAL EXTRA: An early morning balloon excursion to experience the panoramic Mara from a birds-eye view.

DAY 7 – NAIROBI / DEPART
After breakfast, return to Nairobi and on to the airport for your departure flight.
